3.3-KHz audible alarm

July 22, 2011 – Etesian Technologies, Amherst, Mass., has introduced an integrated a 3.3-KHz  piezoelectric audible alarm, which can be set to sound off at any desired wind speed, into their wireless self-powered wind gauge. The alarm has three configurable settings: The trigger wind speed; the release wind speed (always less than the trigger wind speed); and a setting to establish an average wind speed. An operator could set the alarm to sound at 25 mph, to stop at 20 mph, and to average the wind for three seconds to get to those settings.

The averaging can be anywhere from one to 90 wind samples. Samples happen about once every 3/4 of a second.
