SC&RA Offers Annual Crane Inspection Checklists
January 27, 2012–The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), Fairfax, Va., has released two comprehensive checklists for annual crane inspections that conform to OHSA’s latest Cranes and Derricks safety standards.
The Telescoping Boom Crane Annual Inspection Checklist incorporates more than 165 items (including hoists, hydraulics, booms and outriggers), as well as a chart to record load test and a deficiency recommendation report.
The Lattice Boom Crane Annual Inspection Checklist includes more than 189 items, as well as a section for wire rope, a chart for recording a load test, and a deficiency report.
A set of 10 of each of these three-page inspection checklists is available at $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Additionally, a new version of the Crane Safety Inspection Form is available for daily or monthly use. The two-page form contains more than 100 items to help keep cranes in good working condition. Up to nine pads of 50 are available at $6 apiece for members and $10 for nonmembers. Volume discounts are available for all three forms. To order, click here.
