April 23, 2014- The ALL Family of Companies has added a third Liebherr LTC 1045.3 all terrain crane--also called a city crane to its fleet; All announced the purchase at the 2014 ConExpo.

The compact all terrain features a unique one-cab design, which telescopes forward or back for either driving or crane operations.  In addition, while performing crane operations, the cab can be boomed up to elevate the operator to over 25 ft., for a better view of the work site.

The improved vantage point could potentially eliminate the need for a second signalperson because pick and place points are in full view; additionally it allows the operator a direct view of the signalperson, eliminating the need for radio communications on a second spotter at ground level.

The LTC 1045.3 is called a city crane because witha  chassis length that can be reduced to 29.25 ft. and crab steering, and the LTC 1045 is very compact and maneuverable. The city crane can offer a minimum turning radius of only 20 ft. and is low enough to pass through 10-ft-high doorways.

Michael L. Liptak, president of the ALL Family of Companies, said, “This is truly a unique piece of equipment. We received our first city crane in May 2013, and our operators loved it. I’m told that, once customers find out how versatile this crane is, they want to re-rent it to finish the job or use for other jobs. We’re adding it to our inventory for its long telescoping boom, high capacities, compact dimensions, and extraordinary maneuverability.”
