January 23, 2015 - Crane industry veteran Ron Schad recently joined Liebherr-Werk Nenzing, responsible for sales of crawler cranes, duty-cycle cranes, and foundation cranes in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Schad most recently worked for as president and CEO of Essex Rental Corp. During his 14-year tenure, Schad developed Essex into a respected leader in the crane rental business. Prior to the year 2000, Schad spent nearly 15 years with Manitowoc, where he was executive vice president of the crawler crane business.

Schad said this position will allow him to "help contractors and equipment users find the perfect machine for their future lifting and foundation construction requirements.” He added that he is excited to share with others in the industry the positive experience he had with Liebherr while at Essex.

Gernot Schranz, president of Liebherr Nenzing, said: “I am pleased to have our cranes and foundation machines represented by someone with such an established background in the industry as Schad. In addition, Schad’s ties to construction and rental customers make him a perfect choice for Liebherr’s sales efforts in the Midwest region.”
