August 2016 – Two Ohio River bridge construction contractors have been fined more than $21,000 after a crane collapse in February. OSHA sited the companies in the incident, in which a crane fell into a river and a crew member had to be rescued from the water. The agency found that the crane’s anemometer wasn’t working, and the rig was being operated outside the manufacturer’s boom-angle recommendations. - www.wdrb
