David Mehrtens

December 4,  2017 - Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. has hired David Mehrtens as director of remarketing and used equipment.

Mehrtens is responsible for growing Kirby-Smith’s nation-wide used equipment business, including its Komatsu remarketing program. He will work from the company’s Oklahoma City office.

Mehrtens’ more than 35 years of experience in the equipment industry has taken him across the Midwest, including stays in Missouri and Kansas. He has established successful used-equipment programs for both John Deere and Komatsu dealerships, and has worked hand in hand with Komatsu Remarketing to help develop remarketing programs for all Komatsu dealers in North America.

Mehrtens said, “I’m excited about the team we have here at Kirby-Smith and the future we have ahead of us.”

Vice President of Sales Del Keffer said, “Dave comes to Kirby-Smith with a level of used-equipment proficiency rarely found in equipment dealerships today. His business understanding of perspectives on the customer, wholesaler, auction, and dealer level provide Kirby-Smith customers a well-rounded 360° view of how any machine with hours can be used as both an asset financially or vocationally to help their business maximize its profitability.”
