Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants Unveils New Product, Promotes its Developer

February 7, 2018 - Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants, St. Louis, Mo., has introduced 219 SynForce Green, a multi-purpose, extreme-pressure, synthetic grease for bearings and chassis.

The new 219 SynForce Green is the company’s most advanced extreme-pressure grease to date, perfect for heavy-duty machinery used in the severe operating conditions of construction, agriculture, mining, and trucking.

The new product significantly reduces friction, alleviates wear, reduces contact-area temperature, and helps increase equipment life, cut downtime, and extended lubrication intervals.

“We design lubricants like 219 SynForce Green to keep heavy machinery operating optimally in the harsh environmental conditions they contend with every day,” said Jay Schaeffer Shields, president of Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants.

Schaffer’s has also announced that the man who led development of 219 SynForce Green, Jim Carroll, has been promoted from vice president of technical services to executive vice president of operations.

Carroll has been with Schaffer’s for 20 years.

“Thanks to Jim Carroll’s leadership and the advances emerging from his lab in St. Louis, our lubricants and oils consistently stay a step ahead of the competition and meet or exceed the durability standards set by equipment manufacturers,” said Jay Schaeffer Shields.

Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants continues to be at the forefront of developing advanced additive systems, viscosity modifier technologies, and other elements which help extend the lives of the equipment using the company’s products, Shields added.

As executive vice president of operations, Carroll will lead the company’s technical services, production, freight and logistics, material management, and purchasing departments.

Prior to joining Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants, Carroll worked at National Steel/Granite City Division in operations technology and as a process manager.

Carroll is a retired Colonel in the United States Army and a highly-decorated combat veteran.
