It’s Time to Tout Your Top Trainers

Submit Nominations at www.toptraineraward.com

February 14, 2018 - It’s time to nominate stellar trainers for Crane Hot Line’s 2018 Top Trainer competition.

Now in its 11th year, the Top Trainer competition is held annually and endorsed by the Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals (ACRP).

The competition recognizes trainers in the lifting and rigging industry who excel at using innovative hands-on instruction, encourage peer or corporate accountability, demonstrate training success; and have a strong overall impact on students, the industry, or the environment.

Top Trainer entrants are nominated by peers, co-workers, or students. Eligible entrants can work as crane or rigging trainers, craft instructors, safety directors, CTE instructors, contractors, equipment dealers, rental companies, rigging suppliers, manufacturers, or training companies.

The contest chooses one winning trainer in the Professional category (trainers from companies whose principal business is training), and one winner in the Corporate category (trainers who are employed by a company whose principal business is not training, for example manufacturers, contractors, equipment rental companies, or equipment dealers).

Each winning trainer will receive a trophy presented at the ACRP’s General Assembly meeting in Houston, Texas, during May 2018, registration and hotel accommodations at the ACRP meeting, a $2,000 education sponsorship, and recognition in a feature article in Crane Hot Line magazine.

Sponsors for the 2018 Top Trainer competition include: Lifting Gear Hire (Platinum); Slingmax and Rigging Institute (Gold); Terex, Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (CICB), Mazzella Companies, and Altec Sentry (Silver).

New Timing for 2018

In 2018, the Top Trainer competition is being moved much earlier in the year for the first time.

The nomination deadline has been moved to March 31 so that the two winners have a shorter wait between being named Top Trainers and receiving their honors, trophies, and scholarships.

Now is the time to nominate a trainer who deserves recognition as a possible Top Trainer for 2018. The online nomination form and instructions are at https://toptraineraward.com/
