Ritchie Bros. April Auction in Edmonton Includes 75 Boom Trucks

April 11, 2018 - Ritchie Bros.’ five-day auction in Edmonton from April 24-28 already has more than 8,200 items of equipment listed to sell, and the company says more will be added right up until the event opens.

Current highlights include 75+ boom trucks, 255+ excavators, 245+ compactors, 140 dozers, 130 dump trucks, 95+ articulated dump trucks, 85 loaders, 75 winch tractors, 20+ bed trucks, 205+ truck tractors, 950+ trailers, as well as a large selection of farmland and industrial real estate. As always, all items will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices. 

"This year we have a huge selection of equipment representing the multitude of sectors operating in western Canada," said Brian Glenn, senior vice president, Ritchie Bros. “It includes a diverse selection of drilling-related equipment, and we are leveraging the expertise of our Kruse Energy Auctioneers brand for a special, dedicated energy event on day four of the auction." 

Equipment in the auction is being sold for more than 950 owners, including a complete dispersal for H&E Oilfield Services Ltd.

Farmland, residential and industrial real estate selling by unreserved auction

On day two (April 25), Ritchie Bros. will sell nine parcels of farmland, residential and industrial real estate, including a 2,600±-square-foot industrial condo in Rocky Mountain House, AB; four parcels of farmland in Wetaskiwin County, AB, ranging from 51.31± title acres to 112.19± title acres; and a country acreage with a residential home and farmland in Thorhild, AB. Classic 1970 Chevrolet El Camino being sold for charity

On day four (April 27) of the auction, Ritchie Bros. will sell a 1970 Chevrolet El Camino for charity on behalf of owner Sid Braaksma of Northgate Industries Ltd. Mr. Braaksma is a successful entrepreneur and has been collecting classic cars for over 50 years. He will donate all proceeds from the sale of the El Camino to the Canadian Diabetes Association and Alberta Cancer Foundation to assist in the research to find cures for both diseases.
