Scott-Macon Adds Two More Demag AC 220-5 Cranes

 

May 30, 2018 - Scott-Macon Equipment, a top Gulf-Coast crane sales, rental, and service company, is adding two Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain cranes to its existing order for an AC 160-5 and AC 220-5.

Scott-Macon’s new 245-US-ton-capacity Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain cranes have a main boom length of 255.9 ft.—longest main boom reach of any 5-axle crane. Adding extensions to the boom top can deliver a maximum tip height of 324.8 ft.  

Other key features include use of one engine to power both the carrier and crane with an intelligent motor management system to reduce operational and maintenance costs; all-axle steering; independent rear-axle steering; and dynamic launch control for excellent maneuverability.
