June 12, 2018 - In an effort to help prepare the next generation of industry professionals, Rigging Institute, LLC and TM Engineering partnered to offer a scholarship for a promising engineering student to attend the Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals’ (ACRP) 2018 General Assembly in Houston, Texas. This year's recipient is Washington State University student Ryker Mackey.  Mackey was able to expand his knowledge of the crane and rigging industry through workshops, presentations, as well as the ability to have detailed conversations with those in the field.  The scholarship provides funds for the registration, travel, and lodging expenses of an engineering student interested in working in the crane and rigging industry. Ryker will graduate from WSU in the spring of 2019. Along with industry leaders, Rigging Institute realizes the shortage of experienced crane and rigging professionals and is working with programs such as this to encourage the future of our industry.
