W.O. Grubb Adds Demag AC 500-8 All-Terrain

September 25, 2018 - W.O. Grubb Crane Rental, Richmond, Virginia, recently took delivery of a new Demag AC 500-8 all-terrain crane. The  eight-axle, 600-U.S.-ton capacity crane features the maximum boom-and-jib length of 478.3’ and the Demag IC-1 Plus control system designed to provide the crane’s maximum allowable lifting capacity, based on the slewing angle, for every configuration.

“We are dedicated to giving customers the highest quality of value-added services available,” explained Michelle Grubb-Solaimani, CFO of W.O. Grubb Crane Rental. “To do that, we make it a point to carry the latest in crane innovation. The Demag AC 500-8 all-terrain crane certainly fits in that category. It features industry leading innovations that will enhance the productivity of our customers. We know they will be pleased with this unit’s performance.”

The Demag AC 500-8 all-terrain crane has the shortest carrier length in its class and x-pattern outriggers designed to provide on-the-job stability. The crane also comes with the Demag patented Sideways Superlift (SSL) for a superior lifting performance.

“W.O. Grubb is a leader in the crane industry, and we’re glad to have them as a customer,” said Andrew Longacre, regional business manager for Terex Cranes. “They already own a number of Terex and Demag cranes, and we’re sure the Demag AC 500-8 will be a productive and profitable addition to their fleet. Demag cranes offer the perfect blend of flexibility and productivity and have a reputation for delivering a high return on investment.”
