October 9, 2018 - DICA, Guthrie Center, Iowa, a manufacturer of outrigger pads and crane pads, was recently nominated as Exporter of the Year by Midwest Partnerships as part of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s “Legends in Manufacturing” event.

Midwest Partnerships is an economic development corporation serving Adair, Audubon, Greene, and Guthrie counties in West Central Iowa.

DICA’s Made-in-the-USA outrigger pads and crane pads are at work in more than 40 countries on six continents, according to Midwest Partnership’s nomination. The nomination also said that DICA has distribution in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

Initially a supplier of fiberglass utility bodies, aerial buckets, small excavating equipment, and electrical inverters, DICA developed its first engineered outrigger pad in 1988. “They’ve led the way in outrigger pad product innovation ever since,” said Midwest Partnership.

“It was an honor to be nominated for this award. While we were recognized for our export activities, we are equally committed to plan for future job growth and economic development here in Central Iowa,” said Dick Koberg, DICA founder.
