Terex Names New Global Sales Director for Tower Cranes

March 6, 2019 –Terex Cranes has named Lee Maynard as the new global director of tower crane sales.

Before his February 1 promotion, Maynard had been Terex Cranes’ director of mobile-crane sales for Europe and Russia. He was also general manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland, a role he will continue until a successor is found.

Maynard will be based in the Schaffhausen Terex Global office in Switzerland. In his new role, he will develop long-term strategies and identify growth opportunities in the global tower crane market with the objective of increasing the company’s worldwide market share and profitability.

In addition, Maynard is taking over management of Terex’s global tower crane sales team in EMEAR, North America, East Asia, and Australia and New Zealand.

Maynard’s brings extensive professional experience and crane industry knowledge to his new rols. He is a qualified engineer, and has been with Terex Corporation since 2001 as a result of the acquisition of German crane and excavator manufacturer Atlas.

In 18 years with Terex, he has continuously served in positions of increasing responsibility. After switching from engineering, he was a regional sales manager for Terex Construction, and in 2010 became the UK and Ireland general manager for mobile cranes.

In 2012, he assumed responsibility for the European sales and service organizations for mobile cranes as part of the management team. Most recently, he was responsible for all sales activities in Europe, Russia, and CIS member states.
