Stevenson Crane Service Adds Director of Engineering

June 19, 2020 - Stevenson Crane Service Inc., Bolingbrook, Illinois, has added seasoned professional engineer Jess MacMillan as its new director of engineering.

MacMillan brings Stevenson clients more than 22 years of experience in many aspects of the construction industry, including project management, engineering, sales, and executive management.

“Our clients come to us with a wide variety of different project goals, and with those come all kinds of new challenges. We’re excited to add Jess to our team. His diverse experience will deliver innovative solutions that companies are going to be really proud of,” said Robert Stevenson, manager of Stevenson.

MacMillan was most recently an associate engineer with HAAG Engineering in California. He’s also been a director of business development and a chief operations officer with other West Coast crane and heavy lifting companies.

MacMillan earned an Executive MBA from Chapman University, Orange, California, and holds a civil engineering degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, California.

In his new role, MacMillan adds improved engineering efficiency to Stevenson’s internal planning strategies. As a registered professional engineer, he can provide engineered and stamped drawings, and he also increases the company’s capacity to manage clients’ most complex projects.
