Switalski is New Executive Director of Rebuild SoCal

June 14, 2021 -- Rebuild SoCal Partnership (RSCP) has named Jon Switalski as its new executive director.

Switalski succeeds John Hakel who recently retired after leading the organization since 2006. “I have been honored to serve as the executive director of Rebuild SoCal Partnership," said outgoing Rebuild SoCal Partnership Executive Director, John Hakel. "I'm proud of what we've built and know that the Partnership is in excellent hands."

Rebuild SoCal Partnership is a non-profit organization dedicated to working with elected officials, to educating the Southern California public about the continued need for infrastructure funding, and to enhance the region’s workforce development while creating career construction jobs.

"I am excited about where I see the Partnership headed," said incoming Executive Director Switalski. "To join such an outstanding organization and be able to take it to the next level is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Switalski’s  20 years of public policy experience began in 2005 when he became a county commissioner in Macomb County, Michigan.

He was then elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, where he served until 2014, when he reached the maximum number of terms allowed by Michigan law.

Living and working in Southern California since 2015, Switalski most recently was the principal at Spring Street Consulting, which specializes in public policy and government affairs. Notably, Switalski also previously served as the director of external affairs at River LA.

Switalski holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Rebuild SoCal Partnership has recently launched the Rebuild SoCal Zone Podcast which is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms where podcasts are available.
