Link-Belt Launches New Era of Truck Cranes

Aug. 23, 2021 – Link-Belt's new 120|HT hydraulic truck crane will make its public debut at Link-Belt Cranes’ customer event, CraneFest in fall 2021.

The 120-USt capacity unit is loaded with features and has a dramatic new look to match. Production models are set to begin shipping in fourth quarter 2021.

Ride Quality

The four-axle 120|HT features a new, wider single-occupant cab that reflects design elements of Link-Belt's 175|AT all-terrain crane.

The 120|HT also comes with an all-new air-ride suspension system, the first of its kind for a truck crane. The suspension and braking system grew out of two years of collaboration between LInk-Belt and suspension manufacturer Hendrickson International.

Air disc brakes, another first for hydraulic truck cranes, improve braking performance and reduce maintenance time.

“Superior ride quality is going to be one of the first things anyone that’s ever driven in a truck crane will notice,” said All-Terrain and Telescopic Truck Crane Product Manager, Andrew Soper.

Flexible Roading

The new 120|HT can travel with up to 20,500 lbs. of counterweight without needing a boom dolly. That's 4,500 lbs. more than the 16,000 lbs. that its predecessor, the HTC-86110, could handle.

Full counterweight for the 120|HT is 49,100 lbs. The 120|HT's ability to travel with more counterweight comes from a lower gross vehicle weight and an increased rating of 26,000 lbs. each on the front steering axles.

Cummins X12 single-overhead-cam engine delivers increased fuel efficiency and meets EPA 2021 emission standards. Top speed is 62 mph. The 120|HT also simplifies daily service checks, thanks to easier access to fill points, filters, and grease points.

Link-Belt Reach and Performance

The 120|RT delivers outstanding reach with a six-section 38.3'-164.1' formed boom built to Link-Belt’s specific profile and tolerances. The boom extends with a pin-and-latch system.

An optional two-piece, 35'-58' or three-piece 9.5'-35'-58' on-board fly jib adds greater flexibility and range. It can be offset manually to 0°, 15°, 30°, or 45°. Two 16' lattice extensions can be added between the boom top and jib to provide tip heights 261.7'.

Crane setup is quicker and easier, thanks to Link-Belt features like a wireless remote control that can run the outrigger beams and jacks, boom hoist, and winches, and like SmartFly, Link-Belt’s patented one-person fly-erection technology.

The new operator’s cab is a success story in its own right, with great aesthetics and comforts like a wider entry that makes it easier to get in and out, USB and 12-volt power, and more storage with interior lighting.

Pulse 2.0 with its 10" touch display is at the heart of this crane with features and controls that are intuitive, adaptable, and in easy arm’s reach. The view from the seat is uninhibited in all kinds of weather with large sweeping wipers in front and at top, and strategically-placed vents for fast defrosting.

Additional features:
•    Link-Belt’s “Smart Stack” counterweight detection system
•    Link-Belt Pulse 2.0 has improved carrier diagnostics, monitoring, and now also displays real-time outrigger jack ground bearing pressures
•    Link-Belt Site Vision (includes camera and working lights package)
•    V-CALC with 81 outrigger positions
•    iCraneTrax for better fleet management and maintenance scheduling
