Stellar’s New Service Crane Lifts 7 U.S. Tons, Features Range Finder Tech

Dec.6, 2023 — Stellar Industries newly launched 14350 hydraulic service crane lifts up to 14,000 lbs., is lighter than its predecessor, and uses the company’s exclusive CDTpro control system with range finder technology. 

The Stellar 14530 hydraulic service crane weighs about 11% (350 lbs.) less than the previous model yet is stronger, with a maximum moment of 92,000 ft.-lbs. vs. 82,600 ft.-lbs. 

Stellar recently has launched hydraulic service cranes in the 9,000-lb., 10,000-lb., and 12,000-lb. capacity classes, all featuring a new octagonal boom design and smaller boom tip. 

The 14530 also has those features, which maximize strength and make it easier to reach into smaller spaces.  

All of the newly redesigned cranes come with the most ergonomically correct and balanced radio remote control: the Stellar CDTpro control system with range finder technology. 

The proprietary system improves ergonomics and increases usability. 

Its single-hand smooth operation and proportional control let operators place loads more precisely while using multiple functions at once. 

Additionally, it alerts users with vibrations when they approach maximum load capacity, which helps safety. 

Range finder technology also saves set-up time.

The user simply parks the truck, walks to the load while holding the remote, and lets the remote calculate the crane’s lifting capacity at that radius before he or she sets the outriggers or unstows the crane. 

The system lets the user position the crane properly before setting up.
