September 12, 2018 - Hiab, Malmo, Sweden, part of Cargotec, is launching new building-material cranes at the IAA exhibition in Hannover, Germany, from September 20-27. The new models will be available worldwide.

The new Hiab building-material cranes offer the most advanced remote control system in the industry, the Hiab HiPro, as well as Hiab's pioneering features, to ensure safe, fast crane operation, says Hiab.

"Every construction business faces unique demands. When we developed these new crane models, our customers' needs on construction sites were the guiding factor in our research and development work,” says Hans Ohlsson, Hiab’s director of medium-range cranes. “The Load Stability System automatically compensates for unintentionally excessive lever operation, protecting the operator, the surrounding environment, and the crane."

The capacity of the building-material cranes varies from 94,029 to 144,660 lb.-ft. (13 to 20 tm). The high-speed extensions enable long outreach and ensure faster operation. "The end result is a Hiab crane that offers the operator the possibility of delivering more during the day," says Ohlsson.

All new models are equipped with Hiab's well-known steering options. For the Hiab L-HiPro 145, L-HiPro 195 and L-HiPro 235 models, Hiab offers its advanced HiPro remote controls. "The HiPro offers the highest speed and precision. It has been designed to provide ultra-quick and ultra-smooth response, and is able to support a high number of simultaneous movements," Ohlsson added.

Like all Hiab cranes, the new building-material cranes have been designed for easier daily maintenance. Key parts and components that need regular attention are easy to access. Hiab offers the largest service network in the industry and ensures fast, professional maintenance when needed.
