Fred Daniels Named to Lead Uperio Group’s North American Business

June 22, 2022 – Uperio has named Fred J. Daniels as executive vice president of Uperio Group, with responsibility for the group's North American business.

This newly created role will strengthen Uperio’s operations on the North American continent following the company’s full acquisition of P & J Arcomet and the recently announced merger with Compass Equipment.

Fred reports to Philippe Cohet, CEO of Uperio Group, and will be a member of its executive committee.

Daniels has more than 30 years of leadership experience in capital equipment companies. Building on dual bachelor's degrees in business administration and economics from the University of Pittsburgh, he began his career at Herc Rentals, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including full P&L responsibility as division vice president of the Eastern Region for Herc Rentals’ largest business unit.

Before joining Uperio, he was CEO of Virginia Abrasives, successfully leading the company through the pandemic period.

"I am very pleased that we have been able to attract such an experienced leader,” said Philippe Cohet. “Fred brings exactly the skills and knowledge we need to profitably grow our North American business - he is really the perfect match for the position."

Said Daniels, "Uperio has a very promising outlook in North America. I am very much looking forward to contributing to its growth in the U.S. market."
