Two New Altec Cranes Feature Updated Controls Plus Redesigned Gearbox and Swing Bearing

July 15, 2021 – Altec has launched two new riding-seat truck-mounted cranes with updated E-Series controls.

The AC40E-152S delivers up to 40 USt lifting capacity and 152’ telescopic boom.

The AC45E-127S can lift up to 45 USt and has a 127’ telescopic boom.

Both models were developed based on customer feedback.

This next generation of cranes comes with all-new electric controls, updates to the operator interface, added operator comfort, and improved dependability.

“Our team designed these updated controls to give crane operators a better experience and more confidence while in the seat, resulting in more efficient work and less discomfort after a long day on the job,” Hilliard said.

The E-series cranes have a redesigned gearbox, rotation bearing, and control system. As a result, the starts, stops, and glide swing are smooth.

Together, better meterability and improved swing performance boost operator confidence, control, and productivity.
