Canadian Crane Rental Association Names Lifts of the Year

May 23, 2023 – The Canadian Crane Rental Association (formerly Crane Rental Association of Canada or CRAC) has named the winners of the Canadian Lift of the Year Awards.

Mammoet Canada Western Ltd. won in the Over 20 Tonnes (22 USt) category, and Irving Equipment Ltd. won in the Under 20 Tonnes (22 USt) class.

The awards were announced during the Closing Banquet of the Annual Conference, held in Vancouver, B.C., May 16-18, 2023.

The presentations were delivered in front of nearly two hundred industry peers and colleagues on May 17th, 2023, at the Westin Bayshore Hotel.

The new segment of the Annual Conference was celebrated by all attendees.

Six companies competed in the Over 20T class, and three competed in the Under 20T category.

Mammoet Canada Western’s winning lift was an extremely complicated 3-crane lift performed in Kitimat, B.C.

Irving Equipment’s winning lift was an intricate loading of a transformer onto an offshore supply vessel at a pier in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

The Canadian Crane Rental Association’s members are crane rental companies, crane owners, manufacturers and suppliers of cranes and equipment, and supplier of service used in the specialty crane rental business in Canada.
