May 20, 2013— Brian Fuller, Southeast Regional Safety Manager for All Erection & Crane Rental Corp., and Don Jordan, President of American International Crane Bureau, were recently recognized by Crane & Rigging Hot Line magazine and the Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals (ACRP) for achieving the 2012 Top Trainer award.

The program, which is endorsed by ACRP, honors Professional and Corporate crane and rigging trainers for having a positive impact on students, the work environment, or the industry. ACRP’s mission of improving crane operations and rigging activities through education is closely aligned with the purpose of the Top Trainer program.
Fuller and Jordan each received a trophy, presented by Guy Ramsey, president of Maximum Capacity Media, publisher of Crane & Rigging Hot Line, during ACRP’s General Assembly, held May 7-9, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. “Safety people often work behind the scenes. This is a chance to highlight the value of quality training and exceptional teachers, reinforcing the importance of ongoing, continuing education,” said Ramsey.

Fuller oversees the safety training program at 10 ALL Erection branches in the southeast region. He was nominated for successfully spearheading the company’s new safety program. “The technique I use is primarily one-on-one, because everyone has a different personality and responds differently [to instruction],” said Fuller.
Jordan runs his own training company and serves as technical lifting authority for BP. He received dozens of nominations from riggers, operators, engineers, lift coordinators, rigging managers, and safety advisors. On receiving the Top Trainer award, he said: "I'm honored to be included among a group of such amazing trainers—not only the past winners, such as Mike Parnell and Mike Riggs, but past nominees, such as Tom DeSoo and Larry DeMark, make up such a talented group, I'm honored to be counted among them."

“ACRP congratulates Brian Fuller and Don Jordan, the 2012 Top Trainers. The winners have both demonstrated their passion for improving the lifting industry through training. ACRP is proud to endorse the Top Trainer program as this is what brings out the best of the best,” said John Hellums, ACRP Vice President and Business Development, Petrochemical & Refining, for Bishop Lifting Products, Houston, Texas.
The winners also received complimentary registration to ACRP’s General Assembly and scholarships that can be used by the recipient for educational purposes, or may be awarded in their name to a student of their choice. Scholarships are funded by Top Trainer sponsors, which included The Crosby Group, Tulsa, Okla., and Liebherr, Newport News, Va.
