Associated Industrial Riggers Expand Fleet, Management Team in Georgia

Oct. 11, 2021 - Associated Industrial Riggers Corp. has expanded its southern operations by increasing its crane fleet and hiring the region’s most experienced crane support team.

The company has named Wayne Cummins as vice president of cranes and rigging, Dustin Spates as southern service manager, and hired Larry Freckmann as sales partner.

The trio of highly experienced crane industry professionals now leads the expanded service line for the western Georgia company.

Wayne Cummins is a 30-year veteran of the crane industry. He brings more than 17 years of crane management to lead the team.

Dustin Spates is one of the industry’s most talented service managers, and Freckmann has led crane sales and management for more than 40 years, mostly in Greater Atlanta.

The team serves western Georgia and eastern Alabama, but with extra focus on Greater Atlanta and nearby regions, including Dalton, Rome, Cartersville, Lagrange, Newnan, Peachtree City, McDonough, Social Circle, Covington, and Conyers.

As industry continues to flood the area, the crane industry is seeing unprecedented job opportunities.

In addition to forming the new management team, the company has bought new cranes, opened a maintenance shop, and hired several crews of knowledgeable, experienced NCCCO certified operators.

“With the addition of our new equipment and new leadership, our crane service is now set to elevate our turnkey services for our clients to handle the biggest and most complex projects in a timely manner,” said Cummins.

Founded in 1982, the Syracuse, New York, company established a southern presence in western Georgia more than 16 years ago.
