Link Suspensions of Canada Acquires Assets of Raydan Mfg.
February 22, 2012—Link Suspensions of Canada, affiliated with Link Manufacturing Ltd., Edmonton, Alberta, has completed its acquisition of the assets of Raydan Manufacturing Inc., Nisku, Alberta. The Raydan division of Link Suspensions of Canada will continue production and chassis modifications operations in Nisku, Alberta. Link will provide engineering, manufacturing, and management support from its headquarters in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The Raydan acquisition further expands Link’s participation in the heavy- and medium-duty truck and trailer markets, along with other commercial and vocational vehicles as a component supplier to OEMs and the aftermarket. Raydan’s primary product offerings include three patented, proprietary products: the Air Link walking beam suspension; the Easy Slider sliding kingpin system; and the Air Link for tandem steer applications.
“For more than 20 years, Raydan has filled industry requests for twin-steer and heavy-haul applications for specialty and vocational trucks and trailers on wreckers, fire and rescue vehicles and for military, construction, cranes, oil field service, and refuse applications” said Ray English, Raydan founder and General Sales Manager for the new Raydan Division of LSC. “We are proud of our accomplishments and capabilities, and we look forward to continuing our growth with Link.”
“[Raydan’s] solid reputation of service and support to their customers through their highly reliable products, specialized capabilities, and commitment to meeting customers’ needs fits Link’s culture perfectly,” said Jim Huls, Link vice president and general manager. “This acquisition further strengthens Link’s overall family of products and capabilities and will benefit our expanded customer base.”
