AccuBuild Construction Software now incorporates the Project Management module.

September 26, 2007 • Austin, Texas-based construction accounting software developer AccuBuild announces it has released the Project Management module as a fully integrated component of its AccuBuild Construction Software system. The module delivers full-featured project management functionality with built-in workflow and document management capabilities.

AccuBuild Project Management allows users to manage all documentation associated with jobs from a single, easy-to-view screen that can be sorted by any field. Task management is simplified with at-a-glance access to tasks that are due, overdue, or require follow-up. In addition, an advanced search function allows users to search all logs by keyword for fast retrieval of desired information.

Tasks that are due, overdue, or require follow-up can be viewed at a glance.

The customizable forms within the Project Management module make it easy to create requests for information (RFI), change order requests (COR), change orders (CO), submittals, transmittals, fax cover sheets, business letters, daily field reports, meeting minutes logs, and closeout reports. Each customized form can be copied and modified as needed and quickly assigned to clients, vendors, architects, jobs, or project managers.

With the integrated AccuBuild Document Management System (ADMS), users can attach files, email correspondence, and scanned documents directly to log entries, such as RFIs, submittals, and daily field reports. The integration creates a single, searchable database for all project-related documentation.

Integrating the Project Management system in the AccuBuild accounting modules provides a seamless exchange of data that streamlines workflow, eliminates duplicate data entry, and decreases the chance of human error. For example, change orders approved in Project Management automatically flow to Accounts Receivable for billing while simultaneously updating related subcontracts.

“After a significant amount of research, engineering, and testing, we're excited to deliver a robust Project Management solution that will help our clients protect job profitability,” said Josh Stearns, vice president of sales and marketing. “Not only does AccuBuild Project Management create forms and track documentation, it unites accounting and operations by putting everyone in the organization on the same page regarding job status.”

Like its accounting and document management counterparts, AccuBuild's Project Management module is easy to learn and intuitive to use. A variety of training options are available to ensure that clients quickly benefit from all that the module has to offer.
