ACRP Recommends Development of Self-Erecting Tower Crane Standard

June 6, 2007 • The Association of Crane and Rigging Professionals (ACRP) voted at its 2007 General Assembly meeting to recommend to the ASME/ANSI B30 main committee that it consider the development of a new volume for self-erecting tower cranes. ACRP suggests that the standard include, but not be limited to, self-contained and ballast-added types and trailer- mounted and self-propelled types.

In the Corporate Category, James Cahill of J.F. White Contracting Co.; Ray Linton of Jeffboat LLC; and Todd Nicholes of Pacificorp, were elected. Serving in the Professional Category is Ritchie Castonguay of Hite Services Ltd.
