AEM Hosts a Pair of Product-Based Seminars

February 12, 2007 • The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) will host a pair of seminars focusing on product safety and liability April 16-19 at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

AEM's annual product safety seminar will be held April 16-18, providing an industry-wide forum for manufacturing professionals to discuss product safety issues involved in the design, manufacture, and use of their products. A one-day product liability seminar focused on pre-trial planning will immediately follow the product safety seminar on April 19.

Playing off the seminar location in “Music City USA,” the product safety conference theme is “Product Safety: Tune Up Your Program.” Designed to help industry professionals fine-tune their company product safety programs,  the seminar will feature general sessions and concurrent breakouts including basic principles and policies, incident investigation, targets machine vibration issues, and customer/operator safety training programs and communication.

The liability seminar will focus on the value of pre-trial planning and preparation, with the premise that a successful defense starts long before an actual trial takes place. The seminar is open to off-road equipment manufacturer personnel and company-designated service providers.

AEM's educational programming now offers Continuing Education Credits. Complete seminar details and registration information are posted online in the "education" section of the AEM website - www.aem.org.
