AEM Salutes Companies for Industry Service; Elects Officers

November 16, 2007 • The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has presented “milestone member” awards to companies in recognition of their industry support through longtime and continuous participation in the association.

Pettibone Corporation of Baraga, Mich., was honored as a 25-year member in the association.

 

“AEM's strength is a direct result of the dedication and participation of our member companies in association activities,” said Bobbi Klim, AEM membership director. “Their continuing support helps AEM advance the interests of the off-road equipment industry at state, national, provincial and international levels.”

 

A total of nearly 100 companies have been continuously active in AEM for 25 years up to 100-plus years, dating back to the association's founding in 1894.

 

AEM also recently elected officers and directors for 2008. Glen Tellock, president and CEO of Manitowoc Company, Manitowoc, Wis., has been elected 2008 chairman. Duane Wilder, president of Liebherr Construction Equipment Company, Newport News, Va., was elected treasurer.

 

Also elected as 2008 AEM officers were: First Vice Chairman Martin Richenhagen, chairman, president and CEO of AGCO Corporation in Duluth, Ga.; Second Vice Chairman Tiffany Sewell-Howard, CEO of Charles Machine Works in ­­Perry, Okla.; and Secretary Dennis Slater, AEM's president.

 

The AEM officers, with the association's board, set the guidelines and operating policies of the association on behalf of its members in areas including technical and safety services, market information and equipment statistics, global public policy, trade shows, international support services, education and training, workforce development and worksite safety/ educational materials.
