AEMP Awards Looking for Nominees
October 4, 2006 • AEMP has opened nominations for the 2006 Technician of the Year Award and the 2007 Fleet Master Award. Both awards will feature dual recipients, one winner from the public sector and one from the private sector.
Having two award winners is a new twist for the Technician of the Year Award. A new sponsor, Qualcomm, will join John Deere, a sponsor of the Technician of the Year Award since 1992, and the AEMP Foundation, in making this major industry recognition possible. The highlight for the Technician of the Year recipients is the John Deere XHD Professional Series tool chest and rolling tool cabinet.
The Technician of the Year Award not only recognizes technician excellence, but also honors professional technicians all over the country. It increases industry awareness of the critical role the professional technician plays in the fleet management industry, and promotes the technician profession to future and much needed practitioners.
One public and one private sector fleet manager will stand before his or her peers on Monday evening, March 26, 2007 and receive the honor of being a Fleet Master.
