AEMP Names Education Director
August 8, 2007 • The Association of Equipment Management Professionals recently named Jim Phillips to the position of education director. Although Phillips retired a few years ago, he accepted the opportunity to join the AEMP as it begins to overhaul and enhance its Certified Equipment Management program, prepare to launch webinars, and greatly expand educational opportunities for members in general.
Phillips said he is ready for the challenge of working with the curriculum development work that is on the agenda. “This is kind of work I've done for the better part of my career, and after meeting with the AEMP education committee and CEM commission at the summer board meeting, I'm ready to go,” he said.
Phillips' wife, Cheryl, is also a teacher, as are two of his four daughters. AEMP welcomes Phillips to the staff and looks forward to his contributions to AEMP's educational programming.
