AEMP to Host Webcast on Asset Warranty Coverage
February 1, 2008 • The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) will hold a no-cost webcast next week entitled "Successful Conversations for Asset Warranty Coverage." The webcast will be held Feb. 6 and is aimed at helping attendees extend the life of equipment and save money by understanding warranty and performance guarantees.
The event will be conducted by Bill DeRousse, fleet manager for the City of Everett, Wash., and Everett Transit, and David Wilson of John Deere Construction.
DeRousse has more than 37 years of experience with both public and private fleets and is the information officer for the Public Fleet Managers Association. He'll share his fleet operation processes and best management practices.
Topics covered will include documenting maintenance practices; pro-rated warranty reimbursement; suppliers as business partners when negotiating warranty and performance guarantees; and lessening risks with formal warranty/uptime agreements.
Participants earn one continuing education unit toward maintaining the certified equipment manager designation. For details, or to register, go to the AEMP home page and click on the webinar registration section.
