ALL Erection & Crane Rental Technicians Complete Boom Inspection Program

December 13, 2007 • Over the summer 10 qualified welders from ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, were chosen to attend an exclusive Manitowoc Crane CARE Program training course and earned certification in Manitowoc boom inspection and repair. The welders are now qualified to do factory-authorized welding repairs on Manitowoc lattice-boom sections.

Manitowoc Crane CARE, an advanced crane service and support program, shipped all of the metal stock to the ALL Erection training facility in Cleveland, where ALL constructed a mini welding lab. The course consisted of both classroom and hands-on welding training.

 

Manitowoc instructors examined test pieces for defects and quality and also sent sample weldments from each student back to the Manitowoc facility for final destructive testing. After passing all elements of the course and a final written test, the 10 technicians received certification from Manitowoc.
