Altec Names Second U.S. Crane Distributor

July 7, 2010—Altec, Inc., Birmingham, Ala., recently named Richfield, Ohio-based ALT Sales Corp. as its second distributor of Altec cranes in the United States. The other distributor is Custom Truck & Equipment, Kansas City, Mo. ALT sales will target Altec crane distribution within all crane markets except electric utility, as Altec will continue selling cranes direct to these customers.

 

“Altec is very pleased to have ALT Sales as part of our crane distribution strategy. I am confident they will help Altec grow market share and provide insight for new product development,” said Brent Twombly, sales manager of Altec Cranes.

 

Altec is evaluating additional dealers and distributors within the country to reach all markets for both sale and rental. In addition to ALT Sales and Custom Truck in the United States, Altec also has partnerships with ALT Sales in Ontario, Canada and F. Drapeau in St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, Quebec, Canada.
