Altec Offers Tilt-Cab Option on Boom Trucks

September 24, 2010 – Altec Industries, Birmingham, Ala., has introduced a tilt cab option for all riding seat crane models.

 

Designed to offer crane operators increased vertical visibility and less neck strain during certain work applications, the tilt cab option allows the operator to adjust the angle of the cab from 0° to 20° above horizontal with hydraulic power. Applications such as setting cross arms on transmission structures can now be completed with more ease and precision, according to the company.

 

The tilt cab is located forward of the centerline of rotation, which provides better horizontal visibility and reduces operator neck strain when rotating the crane clockwise.
