Arnco to Provide ACTN Member Dealers Polyurethane Flatproofing Fill

July 26, 2006 • South Gate, Calif.-based Arnco recently entered into an agreement with the American Commercial Tire Network (ACTN) to provide Arnco polyurethane fill as the exclusive flatproofing material used by all dealer members of the buying group.

           

“The decision by ACTN was based on the product line's performance and Arnco's superb support program for its flatproofing dealers,” said Carolyn Harris, Arnco's director of sales.

 

Arnco flatproofing is achieved by replacing the air in any pneumatic tire with patented liquid polyurethane that is shipped from Arnco in large drums (totes) and pumped into the tire through the valve stem. The result is a resilient, synthetic rubber core that will never go flat, according to the company. The superior physical properties of Arnco-filled tires also provide quality and tire performance very close to air inflation.

 

Harris added that Arnco would be working with ACTN member dealers to ensure they have sufficient material, support and training to join its worldwide network of Certified Arnco Dealers who are capable of filling any off-road tire that has a sound casing.
