Barnhart Crane and Rigging Co. has bought Bollmeier Crane, of Madison, Illinois, including its operated crane rental service, all equipment, and associated personnel.
The purchase marks Barnhart’s second acquisition of a crane company in the St. Louis metro area this year, following the company’s purchase of Taylor Crane Rental in May.
Founded in 1985, Bollmeier Crane has established a reputation for quality crane rental throughout much of central Missouri and south-central Illinois.
“Together with our earlier addition of Taylor Crane Rental, bringing Bollmeier Crane into the Barnhart family solidifies our presence in the Midwest and gives our customers throughout Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Kentucky even better service and more options than ever before,” said Dan Webb, Barnhart regional director.
Jeremy Hundelt, Bollmeier president and CFO said that for nearly 40 years Bollmeier has served the lifting needs of the region’s largest industrial customers, including those in steel manufacturing, oil and gas, and power generation.
Hundelt said that Bollmeier customers will see even greater benefits, thanks to Barnhart’s nationwide footprint, its dedicated engineering and design team, expertise in project cargo logistics, and its own fleet of trucks, barges, and specialized transporters.
