Barnhart Opens Branch at Port of Monroe, Mich.
September 8, 2011 — Barnhart Crane &
Rigging, Memphis, Tenn., has opened a branch at
the Port of Monroe, Mich. Barnhart's new Eastern Michigan branch adds
significant capacity to the company's ability to serve the industrial,
manufacturing, and logistics customers in Michigan and the Great Lakes
region.
Michigan's only port on Lake Erie, the port is located 35 miles
south of Detroit, Mich., and 17 miles north of Toledo, Ohio. Barnhart is one of
the nation's largest heavy lifting and heavy transportation companies, and the
Eastern Michigan branch will offer access to one of the largest heavy rigging
and heavy lifting inventories in the U.S. The branch will also provide a unique
variety of services including trans-loading to or from ship, barge, or rail;
roll-on and roll-off facilities; warehouse storage; and staging yards.
