Bigge and Kobelco Celebrate Partnership with CK2750G

Along with four Liebherr LR1300SX crawlers, Bigge Crane and Rigging also purchased a new Kobelco CK2750G, a 275-t capacity crawler crane, at bauma 2013. The CK2750G is one of Kobelco’s newest models.

The CK2750G is largest crawler in the CK-G series. The crane features a nested boom that makes it easier to transport. Because it has a smaller footprint than typical cranes of its size, it is more maneuverable. Along with the nested boom, an axle extension adapter allows for the axle to be stored with the crane for transport, making transportation and storage cheaper and easier. Further innovations in the cab and design make the CK-G one of the most comfortable and safest cranes in its class.

The CK-G series is engineered to help conserve energy. Its winch allows for maximum speed even at low idle, saving energy. Its Auto Idle Stop (AIS) feature stops the engine when the crane is stopped, which lowers emissions. And  the new Tier IV clean diesel engine, which includes a new energy-saving assist system called the “G Mode”, reduces fuel consumption by 30%.

“With Kobelco at the forefront of developing cranes with the lightest environmental footprint, the CK2750G is a good fit for Bigge, who operates one of the newest and lowest emission fleets in the U.S.”, said Jack Fendrick, President of Kobelco North America. “We are excited about our continued partnership and future growth with Bigge.”
