Bigge Crane Orders 4 Liebherr LR 1300 SXs

April 24, 2013 - Four crawler cranes from Liebherr-Werk Nenzing, type LR 1300 SX, have been ordered by Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. at bauma this year.

The LR 1300 SX offers a large number of boom and jib configurations and thus potential applications. The combined length of main boom and luffing jib can be as much as  564 ft. The LR 1300 SX is often used for maintenance and assembly work on wind power installations.

Another advantage of the LR 1300 SX is its “taxi crane” feature. Transportation of the completely mounted crane, i.e. including boom and counterweight, is possible through retraction of the track width from 26 ft. to only 15.7 ft. Even more time is saved as it is no longer required to disassemble and assemble the crane and its equipment. This is especially beneficial for short-term work on jobsites.

“High output, full power and multifunctionality are trademark characteristics of the LR 1300 SX crawler crane. Due to these attributes the crane perfectly meets our and our customer’s expectations at the jobsites,' explains Joe Nelms from Bigge Cranes and Rigging Co.
