Bishop Lifting has appointed Grant Garrett as chief executive officer. The announcement comes as the lifting products distributor continues to expand its North American presence through acquisitions and organic growth.
In the past year, Bishop added operations in Canada, Georgia and Kansas, bringing its network to 45 branches. Since partnering with Altamont Capital in 2022, the company has completed eight acquisitions. Garrett is expected to continue building on this strategy.
Garrett most recently served as CEO of M&D Distributors. His earlier career includes executive, director and regional roles with FleetPride, HD Supply and Harbor Freight Tools.
“I am thrilled to join the Bishop team as the company continues to scale its presence in the lifting and safety products and services market,” Garrett said. “I look forward to working with the team as we grow and expand our presence in new and existing markets.”
Founded in 1984, Bishop Lifting is a distributor of lifting equipment and safety-critical products, including wire rope, slings, rigging and fall protection. The company employs more than 45 branches across the U.S. and Canada, serving a broad range of industries.
