December 11, 2007 • Bishop Lifting Products Inc. (BLP), Houston, Texas, recently opened a new branch in Rock Springs, Wyo., expanding the company's service and distribution offerings to new regions. In addition to BLP solutions for cranes, rigging and oilfield applications, BLP Rock Springs will stock wire rope, slings, and rigging hardware • as well as provide a service hub to support the use of their MaxiRider personnel hoists currently used on many drilling rigs in the Rocky Mountain region.

Jeff Bishop, president of Bishop Lifting Products Inc., said the company recognizes its customers' demands to have MaxiRider service technicians and rigging products closer to the Rockies. “This new branch will benefit our customers, as well as our company," Bishop said.

The new facility will enable the company to reduce travel costs and respond more quickly when customers need services, Bishop added.

Bishop said that the combination of the BLP Services and BLP Solutions divisions, which currently serve customers throughout Texas and Louisiana, will help to more adequately support more distant markets.

Founded in 1984, Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. (BLP) has become a leading manufacturer and distributor of services, products and solutions for cranes, rigging, and oilfield applications.
