The sling’s heavy-gauge stainless steel tag is made in accordance with ASME B30.9 & API RP2C. Supplied standard are 6x19 class IWRC EIP bright wire rope on 1/4" – 1-1/8", and 6x37 class IWRC EIP bright wire rope on 1-1/4" and larger. The D/d radio of the eye equals 1:1, and the D/d of the body equals 5:1. The sling has a design factor of 5:1.
These features make the Gator-Laid very flexible, strong, and rugged, according to Bishop. Proof testing is available upon request, and the slings can also be made to precise “under-load” lengths.
