Buckner to Host Third Lift & Move Career Event

April 26, 2016 - The third Lift & Move USA moves to Graham, N.C., and will be hosted by Buckner Cos. The event promotes careers in the crane, rigging and specialized transport industries and aims to inspire and educate the next generation of drivers, mechanics, welders, operators, and riggers.

 

Following the success of the second Lift & Move USA careers event in Houston in February—attended by more than 700 students and military veterans—North Carolina-based Buckner will host the third conference May 17. Lift & Move USA is an industry initiative to promote job opportunities in the crane, rigging and specialized transport industries, and is targeted at high school students, college students and military veterans. The event is jointly organized by SC&RA, NCCCO, and KHL Group.

 

The event is free for students, parents, teachers and veterans; industry representatives pay a $150 registration fee. Registration is through the event website. Organized in cooperation with SkillsUSA, it will provide attendees with an overview of job opportunities in the industry alongside personal testimonies from young people already working in the sector. The conference will promote career opportunities to the next generation of employees, highlighting all sorts of jobs, from crane operators, truck drivers and CAD design engineers to mechanics, welders and sales staff.
