June 16, 2006 — Classic Construction Models (CCM), Beaverton, Ore., recently released the newest addition to its continuing line of all brass, 1:48 scale construction equipment models: the Link-Belt 348 H5 Crawler Crane.

Created in a strictly limited, one-time edition of 300 models, each crane model is hand crafted from hundreds of individually investment cast, etched and formed brass components. The models are finished in the Link-Belt factory red, white and black color scheme and include accurate machine markings. The model, built directly from factory drawings of this new 300 ton Link-Belt crane, matches the original machine in every detail. Features include functioning draw works with accurate rigging, positionable boom with tubular lattice construction, free rolling tracks with tensioners, rotating carbody, access panels revealing air filters, radiator details and a fully detailed four-way positionable operators cab. The level of detail on this crane is so extraordinary that even the safety latch on the load block hook is equipped with a spring to keep it properly closed.

Each model is individually serial numbered and registered by CCM. The Link-Belt 348 H5 model is priced at $1,695 plus shipping. Complete details about this model can be seen online at www.ccmodels.com
