Charities Receive Cat Lift Trucks

November 3, 2008 – Cat lift truck dealers across the country were invited to submit a bid on individual lift trucks for a chance to be a hero to a local charity. The highest bidding winners will then donate the lift truck plus the winning bid amount in cash or services to the charity of choice. After more than 25 bids, the combined effort resulted in more than $362,394 for these local charities.

Cat Lift Trucks, Houston, Texas, recently announced the winners of its lift truck charity auction. Daily Equipment donated a GP40K lift truck to the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi; Darr Equipment supplied a C4000 to the Salesmanship Club of Dallas; Equipment Depot (South Texas) won an EC20KS and an EC25KS and delivered the units to Habitat for Humanity and Lighthouse for the Blind; Independent Lift of Alaska donated a C5000 to the Children’s Miracle Network, and Washington Lift Truck supplied a P3000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“We were pleased with the extent of dealer participation for the charity auction,” said Kent Eudy, vice president of marketing for Cat Lift Trucks. “By contributing, these dealers become an integral asset to their local communities. We are honored to play a part in helping these charities through our partnership with their local Cat lift truck dealer.”
