Cianbro Appoints Chairman of the Board

January 7, 2008 • Pittsfield, Maine-based Cianbro Corporation has appointed Peter G. Vigue, Cianbro's president and CEO to the position of chairman of the board of directors for The Cianbro Companies. His son, Peter A. “Andi” Vigue, has been named president and chief operating officer of the civil and heavy industrial construction company.

Peter G. Vigue is a 37-year Cianbro veteran, having joined the company in 1970 as a laborer.

Working through the ranks, Vigue was chosen to be President. Vigue became Cianbro's Chief Executive Officer in 2000.

Peter A. “Andi” Vigue joined Cianbro in 1990 as a laborer during college. Over the years, Vigue worked through the construction ranks, managed Cianbro's Fabrication & Coatings Facilities, and most recently served as senior vice president of operations for Cianbro Corporation.

Ival Cianchette, Cianbro's outgoing chairman of the board, will now serve as chairman emeritus. He and his brother Ken remain active members of Cianbro's Board of Directors.
