ConExpo Booth to Highlight Careers in Lifting, Rigging, Specialized Transportation
Feb. 20, 2020 — Lift & Move USA will be part of a multi-association workforce solutions initiative at the ConExpo-Con/Agg tradeshow in Las Vegas, March 10-14.
Lift & Move USA is supported by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association, SC&R Foundation, NCCCO Foundation, and media partner KHL. It connects students and educators with people, equipment, and companies that work in crane, rigging, and specialized transportation.
The Workforce Solutions Area in Booth F9007 near the entrance to the Festival Grounds at the show has two purposes. One is to share the industry’s best practices for workforce development with industry professionals attending the show. The second is to interact with about 1,000 students from the Las Vegas area on March 12-13, in order to make them aware of the great opportunities in the industry.
“Lift & Move USA has planned a presentation showcasing the role of transportation, lifting, and rigging in the construction of Allegiant Stadium, future home of the Las Vegas Raiders,” said Tracy Bennett, director of Lift & Move USA. “Dozens of SC&RA member company representatives have volunteered their time and expertise to present an interactive exhibit for the students.”
Since 2015, Lift & Move USA has held hands-on field events for more than 4,500 students in 15 cities. “We look forward to sharing some of our tips and lessons learned with our industry colleagues,” said Bennett.
