Crane Symposium Registration Opens
March 20, 2009 – Registration is now open for the AIST 2009 Crane Symposium, Safety, Maintenance and Modernizations for EOT Cranes Training Seminar, taking place May 31-June 2, 2009 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Those registering by May 1 can save up to 30 percent on the cost of the seminar.
The symposium will deliver practical information and experiences from crane maintenance personnel, crane manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, and engineering consultants who strive to make the EOT cranes and their runways the safest, most reliable, durable machinery, and equipment in the industry.
The two-day program will include presentations focused on safety and safe work practices; electrical, mechanical and structural maintenance techniques; and best practices in EOT crane modernizations. Presentations will feature the Innovator of the Year Award Winner, Randy Creech from EC&M, with a presentation on AC Sourced Magnet Control.
Plant maintenance staff; applications, electrical, mechanical, safety, service and design engineers; operations and maintenance personnel and management; and those people who supply parts, equipment and services to the industry are encouraged to attend. Anyone who has responsibility for cranes and crane service and is interested in improvements and incidents in this area should also attend.
Advance registration fee by May 1, 2009 is $620 for members and $740 for nonmembers. Registration fee after May 1, 2009 is $875 for members and $1,025 for nonmembers. Registration fee includes Sunday evening welcome reception, continental breakfasts, lunches, and continuous breaks Monday and Tuesday, a boat cruise on the Gateway Clipper Fleet on Monday evening, and a course workbook.
