NCCCO needed a way to manage all of the test questions in its database, according to Executive Director Graham Brent. The organization began looking into software programs which were very expensive, when Crane Tech President Bo Collier offered the use of the company's software. As a training company that does testing, Crane Tech had developed a software program for its own use.
The two entities determined the program could easily be adapted to NCCCO's needs, and Crane Tech offered to donate the software, said Brent. “NCCCO is honored to receive this generous contribution from Crane Tech,” J.R. Williams, NCCCO's written exam management committee chair. “This software will provide the Committee with the additional flexibility and versatility it was seeking.”
Crane Tech is pleased to be able to make the software available to NCCCO, said Crane Tech President Bo Collier, “and in so doing, to further the safety mission of this organization that we, as a company, passionately embrace.” He said Crane Tech believes “that the development of the nationally accredited and recognized CCO certification program effectively assesses the competency of crane operators and, as a consequence, has made a major contribution to enhancing safety on construction sites, and in general industry, across the nation.”
